From Humble Beginnings
Biltong Depot was founded in 2014 as a 500 square foot butcher shop on the corner in Franklin TN by husband-and-wife team SJ and Virginia Botha.
Hard Work & Growth
In 2020 their passion for introducing Biltong into American culture turned into an obsession and they felt the time was right for their products to be launched on a national level.
Biltong Depot meat snacks are manufactured in our own USDA-inspected facility located in Centerville TN. Our state of the art 20,000 square foot building is equipped with custom-built drying systems designed to grow and expand with our brand.
What's Next
Our passion and growth were quickly noticed by Jack Link’s, a family-owned company and the #1 Meat Snack brand in the USA.
The partnership was formed in 2023 with Jack Link’s now fully endorsing Biltong Depot as the rising star in the air-dried meats category. We are now well on our way in our mission to bring this piece of South African heritage to the world.
